Strive and Succeed Ltd provides a unique approach to residential care for children and young people, focusing on bespoke therapeutic interventions that cater to each individual’s specific needs. We believe that every child deserves a supportive and caring home, and our aim is to create a family-like atmosphere with clear boundaries to promote safety and well-being.
What sets us apart is our dedicated and compassionate staff, who provide care for children and young people experiencing a range of behavioural and emotional difficulties. We understand that every child is different and has unique needs, which is why we prioritise individualised care that takes into account each child’s personality, strengths, and challenges.
Our approach is based on the belief that every child deserves a fresh start and the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. We provide the tools and skills necessary to help children and young people reach their full potential, whether that’s through educational support, therapeutic interventions, or personalised care plans.
Our goal is to provide a stable and supportive home that enables children and young people to build positive relationships, develop healthy habits, and achieve their goals.
We provide therapeutic residential care for children’s and young people’s psychological, emotional and behavioural needs. Some children who have experienced trauma in their lives can and may sometimes exhibit learnt behaviours. They may display this through using violence and displaying deviant sexualised behaviours that convey their distress.
To support CYP in our care, we work with Doing Better Therapy, to provide a non-judgmental, co-creative and solution-focused reflective space. Doing Better Therapy’s founder, Dr. Jo Flack, has over 25 years of experience working with a variety of client groups in children’s services.
Is to create an environment that young people can thrive and succeed with the understanding that there are no limits to what they can achieve. A key objective is also to ensure a child-centred approach on a consistent basis. In addition, we teach our young people life skills in order for them to develop the attributes needed for success.
Resilience is equally important, as it is a fundamental tool required to shape their lives. We enable them with tools and strategies to tackle their immediate and future struggles ultimately giving them strength, resolve and power when making positive decisions. This in turn gives our young people the power of freedom and thought to change their lives.
We take a holistic approach to providing the best services for the children/young people in our care. It is essential to provide the child with a sense of belonging to the family, to their own birth family and wider social and community network. This sense of belonging and permanence will help to support the individual child/young person to accept who they are and to manage their complex relationships in both the short and long term.
Strive and Succeed is committed to the continuous development of our team members, and will ensure they have the opportunity to attend the required statutory training and complete the qualifications relevant to their current or future roles. Each member of staff is part of an overall development plan ensuring continuous learning and mandatory training takes place.
